Cheapest place for a set of lifters??
I just got my Hot cam kit installed and ever since then I've had a random "tick" on one particular RR. I've adjusted and re-adjusted it many times and it still "ticks" when the engine gets warm. Stone cold it's fine. So I'm pretty convinced I have a collapsed lifter, so where's the best price on a set?
Summit has Crane Hyd. Roller Lifters for $179.99 any place that has a better price?

Well I hate to say I know more about your car than you do, BUT you may NOT have a collapsed lifter! I had this same problem and was about 5 minutes away from calling Summit for a new set of lifters, when I found the REAL problem. Believe it or not, it was a header gasket leak!!! My header leak sounded JUST LIKE a loose lifter. Like you, I adjuster my rocker arms three (3) times, and I still had that "tick"
Before you order any lifters, double check your header flange to cylinder head gaskets for a leak. The fact that you only get the tick when the engine is warm is the key to understanding this. If it really were a collapsing lifter, I think it would be MORE prone to making noise when the engine oil was COLD, and less viscious, than when the oil is warm and flowing freely?
Just trying to save you money and labor, look for a header leak first! Also, if it is a header leak, it will get louder with time, as the leak gets bigger. Sometimes they are easier to find then. Good luck with your car

I havn't installed the headers yet, still running the stock manifolds...so I know it's not an exhaust leak.
It's not reallty a "tick" either, it sounds like the rocker is hitting the valve cover, but it's not because it does it with the valve cover off, too. It almost looking like the rocker arms is sliding sideways off the center of the valve stem slightly and then snapping back into place when it's starts to un-compress. It happened with greater frequency with the rocker arm tighter.
But as I said, it's a very random sound, it happens maybe 1-2 times a minute when idling, but happens more frequently with driving, particulary when cruising @ 1200-1600 RPM. I don't hear it under load. It also seems to only appear once the engine has started to warm up.
I can't think of anything else it could be? Bent pushrod, Bad rocker?
