A 150 shot will take over a second off of your ET. Do it. Don't be afraid.

exhaust cut out... 100 bucks installed and bought... you can change from hella loud to stock quite. look in summit or jegs. take it to a muffler shop and tell them to take the cat off and put the cut out where it was.

Re: Cheap Horsepower

What do you consider cheap?????? 5 dollars or 5000 dollars?????

Usually people start out with CAI and cat-back system.. Cost around 300-500 for both...

Then theres the camshaft change, etc......

Find out what horsepower goal you have and work to that goal......

Re: Cheap Horsepower

don't kid yourself, those airfoils are crap. they look pretty when you take off the elbow and that's about it. they increaser maybe 2-5 hp, far from enough to actually change your ET's.

you need to be a bit more specific on how much you're actually willing to spend or how much power you're trying to make. I'd say do the free mods (free obviously), then delete the cat and have a cutout put in ($30-$50), get some sticky tires ($200). those things will probably drop your ET's the most.

Re: Cheap Horsepower

Get some pacesetter and LE1 head/cam package. Or go with FI.

Re: Cheap Horsepower

The word "Nitrous" is pretty much synonymous with "Cheap HP". The bang for the buck cannot be beat. However, it ends up costing more than ppl think due to the all the accessories that must be purchased to have a safe system. Then you have to think of all the other things that will need to be upgraded to cope with it (i.e. clutches, rear ends, etc).

ya gotta pay to play!

Re: Cheap Horsepower

Tuning helps.

Here locally i've been picking up cars more than a lt header + off road Y pipe picked them up.. Like this one.

The first run is stock, the second is when he came back with long tubes/off road Y and the last is the same night after tuning.

Re: Cheap Horsepower

if you want cheap...

buy a 3" inlet K&N or similar cone filter, put it in place of the stock air box.

have a cutout installed under the rear seats before the axle

gut the cat(s)

throttle body bypass and 160 stat
