Changing oil pan gasket
Changing oil pan gasket
I have done a search and am aware of the reported approaches to changing the oil pan gasket w/ the engine in the car. My question is could one lower the steering assembly to gain significant access to the oil pan? I have a tubular K member and the A/C is gone so I have alot of access now. I have examined the clearances for simply jacking up the engine and it looks like I would only have about 2 inches of clearance at best. With steering assembly out of the way it appears I could remove the oil pan (Canton unit), clean the surfaces, and install the new gasket. I appreciate the responses and input.
Thanks!
Thanks!
