centerforce df clutch, opinions please
I have had a Centerforce DF clutch in my 1994 Z28M6 for almost 2 years and 15000 miles.
It definitely added some undesirable vibration, but not major. I sent the first clutch back and while they claimed it was ok, they sent another. They don't have a good attitude. I use the clutch on a Fidanza aluminum flywheel, which was balanced to the factory flywheel numbers. I don't think the finger weights slide out the same distance all the way around.
The clutch definitely holds compared to factory. It is harder to powershift with the DF. When hot, the clutch does not completely disengage when shifting into 1st when coasting down (I hear and feel it catch a little).
Now that it is completely broken in, it is very easy to drive on the street.
Some people on this site state they had catastrophic failures.

I have heard alot of people on the board who are unhappy with Centerforce df clutches. Thus I probaly would not purchase another one. However I put one in my car at 94,000 miles, and now have 175,000 on it and have not had any problems what-so-ever out of it at all. Just recently I have noticed it starting to slip, but think of the mileage that has been accumulated. Maybe I am one of the few lucky ones; don't know. Like I said though due to the bad "press" about them here I think I'd go with something else. Even though I have been pleased with mine, when I replace it, it wont be a Centerforce. Just heard to many bad things about them. Maybe something changed with their quality control since 1997 when I purchased mine.

Mine did the same thing, then I had to get the tranny rebuilt because of it. It cost me $1200.
