If it were up to me i would put some street radials on but my old man is "strongly encouraging" me to put on street tires. If the car only runs mid 13's then it will be ok. So far he hasnt steered me in the wrong direction.

P.S. Will it really only run mid 13's in FL (LOL)

Wow, expecting mid 13's out of a stroker... Don't ever become an investment banker, ok? I mean I know your dad has a lot of say and influence about what you do with your car, but that just doesn't seem like much return for your money.

Well I didn't bother to read all of the post in this topic but this is what I have.

I have a fully forged 383 and I'm running the cc305. I bought mine through thunder racing with a custom grind to make it a 112lsa not a 114lsa. I'm pretty impressed with the cam seeing how I put down 400rwhp with it and torque numbers to match. The cam is still pretty radical not as much as it could be but good enough for a good drive on the streets. I bought mine because it's a decent all around cam, at the time of purchase I was going to strap a 12pnd huffer to it. good luck on your selection and there are a lot of great cam selections people posted in this thread.

Shouldnt I only expect mid 13's if im running 375rwhp and 400rwtq with stock driveline where only the clutch has been replaced with a stock unit and im running BFGoodrich g-force t/a KDW p245's out back? Im in florida and the track is generally sticky and im also at sea level.

in my 93 I only dynoed in the 350 rwhp range and I ran several 12.3s @ 112 mph. (in Oklahoma)

Tires make a big difference , commuter tires on a race car at the track are like flipflops on a pro tennis player.

At sea level I belive you will be very low 13s or high 12s on street tires(2.2 60'). I dont belive your cluth will be an issue on street tires .....with drag radials it may be after several passes.

i had a hotcam in my 383, with AFR heads. UNTUNED, the car dynoed 383rwhp, with 408.3 lbtq. The motor is a 10.5:1 comp motor. Made good power, excellent driveability. All around great cam. Now switched to a 240/240 595 595 112
