I think that your expectations are a little high too. I am sure you can make it into the 12's, but not that deep. In my 396 my cam is 242/248 and the brakes and vacume is just fine. If you are going to spend all this money on the moter, why half a$$ it on the cam. If you are building a 383 at 16, then I am sure pretty quick you will get used to the power it makes, and think its slow. Just do it right the first time so you wont regret it.

My car only made 387 actual rwhp and 376 rwtq with my 383. And I was shooting for over 400 myself. NO WAY you are gonna do it with a small cam and stockish heads. My motor is 11.8:1, lloyd's heads(full porting ~270 cfm intake), 236/242 .560/.575 cam, with all the goodies and a Ed Wright tune.

I was no where near satisfied with mine, but hey, you get what you get.

BTW- it feels slow to me already...and I've only put 3000 miles on it.

Mid 12s easy with drag radials and a 1.8 60'. Take out some wieght and you could go 12.3x in the best conditions .RWHP would be more like 350-370 with 1.6 rr and basic bolt ons. Thats with the cc305.

Dang dude, I would EXPECT well over 400rwhp with that setup...you had her dyno tuned yet....if not that should get you over 400 for sure.

What do you think my best 1/4 mile times could be with street tires and the setup i described? Should i take a WRX with that is about 290 hp? I got a friend that says he will murder me. I know he will **** on me off the line but when i hook up i bleive that i will catch him. He says his REX runs mid 13's.

You should beat him in the 1/4....low 13s. Throw on some drag radials and run into the 12s.

No quarter milers round here....only 2 passes on the new set up. runs 8.57 @ 88+mph with a 2.24 60 in the eighth though. car has no traction...12 bolt coming soon. cars best was 8.19 @ 88 on the stock internals/125 shot before(it dynoed 380rwhp then).

No never been dyno tuned...that is coming though. It is a mail order Edwright tune..runs a 13.9:1 air/fuel.

Not that I am trying to jack Brians thread.:lol

Well say i get 370RWHP and 400RWTQ, What are 1/4 mile times that correspond with those #'s with stock driveline and BfGoodrich g-force T/A KDW P245's. Say im a good M6 driver and actually hook up as best as you can with that much HP. Thanks, Brian Kaiser

Why would you waste your time trying to drag race that much power on that type of tire? I am clearly missing something here.

I'm going to be running a Comp Cams XE 242/248 .576/.600 in my 383 stroker with AI's full port heads on top. Plan on daily driving it without any problems.

You'll likely spin alot

It doesnt matter what you "should" run, but what you "do" run...you'll have some power, gets some tires for it if you want to drag it. 370 rwhp/400 rwtq I'd say easily 110+ mph in the 1/4.
