Cam suging is mainly when the car is at idle. Car would have kind of a rough idle, dont know the LSA on the cc306, But tuning is goind to make the car run awesome accros the whole RPM range.

I read when I get my PC programed to either get higher idle from 600 or so to about 900 if not I could always put the car in N at lights or something?

I have the 306 in my camaro and it definitely needs a tune for it to run even remotely right. I have no cam surge under 2000 like most people complain of and it ran like crap before the tune. If you plan on it and have an auto, be prepared to stay in first or second gear because it needs 3.42 or higher gears and a stall of minimum 2800. Rule of thumb is powerband of cam go 500 RPM higher with the convertor. Brian did my tune pcmforless and it was dead on the money.

it's definitely noticeable The idle is rough; it had no power under 2000 until after the tune; and it ran real rich. I had bad cam surge and the whole motor shook, get the tune while your putting the cam in so there will be less downtime afterwards.

How did it perform when you mashed on it, was it like its ok or was it a big change, and does it like surge when you mash it below 2k? or just when cruising!

It was crap before the tune...felt like it was slowly reaching rpms in second and up but first gear was ok I also have ported big valve heads which made it doggish as well

I hope this pans out alright for me, wouldnt it make a differnce driving around town in D instead of OD because it will keep you in a higher rpm?

Trust me, If you have an auto you will need to drive around town in 2!!! you will need gears of 3.42 or higher in order to really take advantage of that grind. You can get away with driving around in D though but why bother?? Do it right the first time and you will get more out of the new combination.
