Car won't start after water pump

Hey guys I just changed out my water pump and i can't get my car to start, all the connections seem okay, the starter will turn and turn but the car won't start, also there is some light smoke coming out of the intake.

Any ideas?

Check for spark? Did the opti get soaked?

I forgot to connect the plug up to the opti when i replaced it. Sounds exactly what I did. Hooked it up and was good to go.

The opti got pretty wet, but I dryed it off really good. I had my dad try to start it and it seemed like it was about to start but then it just back fired.

Keep your fingers crossed and hope the Opti dries out. You might want to try and pull some air through the Opti vent system to help dry it out. At least check the Opti harness connector to make sure it is dry and not corroded.
