Gotta problem here. car will not crank. will run when pop started. only lights on the dash are the abs inop light that was not there before. car did this out of the blue battery is good. is this somethign electrical or the solenoid on the starter?

 

Well, if it runs fine, but you can't get the starter to engage, there's only a few things that it could be. One the starter, two the solenoid, three the ignition switch. Best bet is to test voltage at the starte. If no voltage, then its the ignition switch if you do have voltage then its starter related. Its easier and almost the same price to replace the starter and solenoid. I believe Autozone sells them as one unit.
