Car shook violently would barely go and died now won't start?

Well i have a bad feeling about this one. I was driving my car and it started shaking kind of bad and has been doing this the last few days. I thought it was another bad o2 sensor because normally i could give it more gas and it would clear up like it was being flooded from the bad o2. However today it did it again and i gave it some gas and cleared up some. I then got to a stop sign and it started idling rough and i went to pull off and it would barely move and was shaking so violently and it had a really small backfire and died. So i coasted into a church and tried starting it up and it wouldn't. I got it towed back to my house and tried starting again and i can almost hear a semi high pitched metallic whine coming from the engine. Almost like a piston is seized?
Little background info. Engine was rebuilt about a year ago or less. Got a new waterpump, oil pump and starter at that time. During the last 4 months or so i've replaced the optispark, plugs and wires, 02 sensors, and catalytic converter. Engine only has approx 9,000 miles on it since rebuild. Car does have oil, it also has a oil leak (about a month after the rebuild it started leaking oil ) but i always check it. Right now the battery is charging since it went dead from trying to start it.
So if anyone has any ideas or what i can check then it'd be a big help. Sucks because i was in the process of selling my car and getting a street bike

First thing I would do is look for anyting visible under the hood. Then I would pull the codes. You may have a fuel or ignition problem.

Well i decided to check one thing and sure enough where i had the msd adapter plugged up for my msd box was loose. So i hooked it back up and she started right up. That's probably the first time i've ever guessed at something and that was the problem. Well im just really happy now and streetbike here i come!

Awesome. Glad you found it. I had a problem where my car would buck and pop and backfire. I checked everything. Finally found a hole in my intake elbow. Fixed it by converting to ram air and doing away with the factory elbow.
