Okay, but just curious, sometimes, I drive my car and the whole ride it doesn't shake at all. Could that still be caused by bad plugs, wires? It's so sporatic, I just don't what to say. I would say it only shakes about half the time, regardless of engine temperature, etc.

Also, what do you guys think about the MSD Coil? It was just replaced, but I don't know what to think about it since the guy I bought the car from said he replaced it.

TTT for the question on the coil, and also:

I think this may have something to do with the shake.

1. The exhaust smells really strong.
2. When I go to start the car, it's having a really hard time getting started. It turns over for 5-7 seconds and you can hear it on the edge of catching for about 3-4 of those seconds.

I'm thinking I might have a bad AFR or something up with my fuel system. What do you guys think? It would definitely aggravate a misfire, but I don't know where to start looking for this. I'm ordering in new plugs n' wires, but would bad wires cause my car to have a hard time starting? Idk......

Diagnosing beyond the wires and plugs is meaningless at this time. You have to fix the obvious problems before you can count on the accuracy of the diagnosis...

Yes, bad wires and/or plugs can lead to hard starting....

I almost wish I would have gotten civic and just made it crazy fast, but it would never have had the style my Camaro does.

Ouch, a Civic? We work on these cars because we LOVE them, it's just a bonus that they are fast and make great power PLUS they turn heads. Both of my sons (16/14) are into American iron. They are not big fans of metrics with fart pipes and fake horsepower. Even though my oldest is a Blue Oval boy, his 66 Mustang is allowed next to my Z (if there is no room on the street )

Haha! American Iron for sure. I do like to work on my Z28--I always am, but some of the things are a pain in the neck. You know, simple things: starter, plugs/wires, etc. Ahh well. All worth it in the end, and you're right. They're gorgeous cars.

Waiting until after finals tomorrow through Wednesday. I'm Pre-med, so getting As is more important than changing the plugs and wires on my car. Sad, I know. Dang, I have no life for the next 5 years.
