Dangalla, I will, but WTH is an ECT? Lol, I'm still trying to get to find other causes, too. I finally looked at the other wires, too, and they're all torn up real bad. There's exposed metal on three of the eight.

Gotcha. I'll check those when I change the plugs and wires. Thanks!

UPDATE

Well, I finally figured out what was wrong. I must admit, the dude who was persistent with the motor mounts was right on the nail. I replaced them today and the shake is gone and the car runs as smooth as glass, no joke. All speeds, all rpms. I think what was happening is that the engine would start shaking at a certain RPM and load, and then the reverb/shake would be like a gyroscope and continue to feed the shake until I stopped or slowed down again. Either way, Energy Suspension came through for me.

LOL! Yes, you were right. I think I was complicating the issue far beyond what was the problem. If we had rep points, I would totally give you rep.

And on not believing you, at least I replaced the motor mounts before anything else!

Yes you were complicating the issue alot. You were thinking it was other things, when it was the engine mounts. Yeah We should have rep points on the forum.

Um.... Crap.... It's back.... ****!!!!

Okay, it's not as bad as it was, the engine mounts still needed replacing (Thanks 94camaro!).

This is going to once again complicate things, but the shaking ALWAYS goes away if the car's front is elevated and put back down. Then it comes back within a few minutes. What would cause that? It's not drive train or tranny related because the shake persists in neutral and in park. I'm starting to think about replacing the coil, Opti, wires, water pump and plugs altogether and then move onto the fuel injection system if that's not it. In all reality, I should be checking the cheap systems first, like the fuel injectors and fuel pressure. Dangit... I hate this. HELP!

Now that you've given up on the motor mount idea..which it clearly couldn't have been from your initial description...you can move on to other things. Try describing the issue again, as completely as possible. Don't leave anything out..even if it doesn't seem to make sense. Don't just start changing parts unless you have a lot of stale cash lying around.

Haha, okay okay. The mounts were still pretty bad, so it's good I went ahead and changed them. Let's re-work this problem.

I start the car (no duh?) and within 10-20 seconds it starts to lightly shake (almost like a toned down rough idle). The shake is especially noticeable when in gear at speeds below 10 mph. The whole car feels like it is lugging, almost as if you were stalling a manual car. The shake becomes unnoticeable at speeds above 10 mph, but is noticeable again under light load when the car shifts into its last gear at 45mph, then becomes unnoticeable again at speeds above 50mph. Oil pressure is constant. Rpms always vary by 30-50rpms at most but do not seem to be synced with shake.

Tell you guys what, would a video with possibly the sound of the engine and showing the car gently shaking while slowing down maybe help you see what I am talking about? I might shove the camera under the car, too.

did you get these wires fixed, that would have been the first thing i did - but then again i would be trying to fix the problem and not just replace random parts in order of price from lowest to highest

Dangit Dangalla, I bet you think you are so funny! :P We haven't ruled that there is a miss yet, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But either way, no I didn't. I'm kind of with the whole, get the darned thing fixed without spending a whole load truck-load of money. I did check the ECT wires though, and they're good to my knowledge. I'll check them again just in case. I might go ahead and order new plugs n' wires, too. I'll have to do it sometime anyway. :-/

lol. just to be clear, i was referring to the taped and burnt spark plug wires. they would easily explain your problem and i would not do another thing until i replaced them

Lol. Gotcha. Man, I really really really didn't want to spend the money on that. :-/ Well...Here goes. I'll probably replace them in a week or so, and that means I'll update you all then.
