ok guys:

first of all the $200 was compressor only, yes it will be about $700 to fix EVERYTHING. and yes they did put dye in it thats how i know there is a leak. and NO YOU SHOULD NOT NOTICE THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE WHEN THE AC IS ON go test drive an '02 and drive it with the ac on, i bet you it wont be any different. yes this is a common problem with these cars but that doenst mean that its suppose to happen. heck, the optispark in these things go out all the time but its not normal to drive in a car that backfires is it? what kind of logic is that? also, i used to have an A4 i converted mine to an M6 and yes, with BOTH trannys it was noticeable and VERY annoying. like scooby said, it should only kill about 5hp at the MOST.

plus----the clutch can make the car run bad even when the AC is OFF as well. so if any of you have this same problem i would strongly suggest you try to fix it. check the IAC as well i would replace it, not clean it, i have a friend with a 94 camaro and he cleaned his, idled geat, week later dirty again....not much money anyway
