Car overheating, boiling coolant.

I just got my car back from getting new heads and a cam in. Today I replaced the O2s because it was running rough. Immediately when I turned on the car a low coolant light came on even though when I checked the level it was fine. Within 5 minutes of light driving the temp gauge maxed out and the car started to backfire, I shut off the car. When off, without the noise of the exhaust I could hear the coolant bubbling, when I opened the hood it, coolant was overflowing out of the fill tube. When the ignition is on I can't hear the mezier pump and the fans aren't on. I checked the mezier's fuses and they all look fine. I will try a multimeter tomorrow when I can get my hands on one but does anyone have any suggestions? It seems to run great until it heats up. Thanks guys.

Did you drive it at all BEFORE you put the new O2's in? Was it overheating then?

If you run an EWP, check the fuse, trigger and relay circuit.
If you run a mechanical (stock) EWP, open the radiator cap and see if coolant is flowing.
(not while it is boiling obviously)

Have you drained and filled lately? Did you mix water and coolant?
Did you bleed the air pockets out?

Are you puffing white smoke?

I'm going to check to see if its getting power tomorrow, the fuses looked fine. My friend thought it may be because it wasn't bled correctly by the mechanic, would that cause it to over heat to that extreme? Why shouldn't the fans be on though when the temp gauge is maxed out?

The guage cluster sensor for temp is different than the one the computer uses for fans and other internal things. My Guess is it wasn't bled right meaning the water wasn't circulating right...

I just wiggled the wp wires a little bit and the pump running. So I ran the car for about 20 minutes without any heat issues. I'm going to bleed it tomorrow. The low coolant light is still on.

If wiggling them fixed it, then you have a loose connection there somewhere.
Check them and make sure everything is tight.
Those things draw a lot of current and a weak connection will not last long.
