car just cranks over need help to find problem.

I have a 96 z28 just put in a new alternator and battery 2 months ago. Know the car just cranks over and almost dont start when hot. thats another thing my car seems too run hot what is the normal operating temp.

It could be one of several things. I would check the PCM to see if it's stored any codes. How many miles on your car? The fans should come on at 226 and it shouldn't run any hotter than that. Moving it should be around 200 or so.
