car hard to start after rerouting wires

we just rerouted my wires to get them off of the PS pulley, and changed my accessory bracket too. Before we did all of this, the car would start pretty quick, now it takes 3-4 seconds to start. What could be some things that I could check? I checked all my wires, and they are all on there pretty good. Could it maybe be since my car sat for a week and maybe my battery started to drain down or something? What would you guys check

I would check the wires again (or anything else you messed with).

i have, checked the wires again, their all fine on both ends, alternator is fine. Starter is clicking, but it just takes a while for the engine to finally crank over. The only thing thats different now is that i have a code 15, could that cause this?

A weak battery by chance?

it turns over fine, trickle charged the battery, and still no gain. What a couple people think is the temperature sensor may be bad, which causes it to not know how much fuel to put in?

That is the reason. I had that same problem for awhile until I found the ground wire had been cut while we were doing the headgaskets on my car.

It IS the waterpump sensor. The sensor in the radiator you mentioned won't set a code. It's only connected to the light on the dash.

The one in the head is only connected to the temp. gauge in the dash. That one doesn't send it's signal to the PCM. Only the WP sensor does.

If the sensor in the WP itself is malfunctioning, that could very well lead to a hard start condition.

we've decided its either the sensor in the WP, or the wiring leading to it. Is there any way to check the wiring?

Shoebox has a good tutorial that covers it all.

I made that suggestion in the first reply to his thread regarding code 15. You can lead a horse to water...
