car dies at opperating temp
Re: car dies at opperating temp
Scan for codes? A heat sensitive cam position sensor module in the Opti could cause a shutdown, and would set a code.
The fuel pump can also die when it heats up. Have you checked the fuel pressure?

Ok, I just put a new fuel pump in because the fuel pressure was 38lbs and when it died it was a 9lbs. I just took the car out for a ride and it died again and wouldnt start.
I put a new crank sensor in it not to long ago and it was fine for a while but its doing it again all of the sudden.

The crank position sensor is only there for misfire detection. It won't shut down the engine.
Have you scanned it for codes?
Re: car dies at opperating temp
Are you indicating the fuel pressure started dropping and the engine eventually stopped.... or that the engine stopped, and when you looked at the pressure (after it stopped) the pressure was 9psi?

My buddy at the gm dealership scanned and it said there were no codes.
