Did you notice if it coincides with going into closed loop? If you're not sure, disconnect one of either of the front O2s and see what happens after it gets hot.

A coil can do that as well. My IROC would die and not start until it cooled down a bit. Changed the coil, hasn't happened since.

Scan for codes? A heat sensitive cam position sensor module in the Opti could cause a shutdown, and would set a code.

The fuel pump can also die when it heats up. Have you checked the fuel pressure?

Ok, I just put a new fuel pump in because the fuel pressure was 38lbs and when it died it was a 9lbs. I just took the car out for a ride and it died again and wouldnt start.

I put a new crank sensor in it not to long ago and it was fine for a while but its doing it again all of the sudden.

Are you indicating the fuel pressure started dropping and the engine eventually stopped.... or that the engine stopped, and when you looked at the pressure (after it stopped) the pressure was 9psi?

The crank position sensor is only there for misfire detection. It won't shut down the engine.

Have you scanned it for codes?

We left the gauge on it while it was running and watched it. It eventally went all the way down to 9psi when it crapped out. We turned it off and turne the key to the on position and the pressure didnt go up at all.

My buddy at the gm dealership scanned and it said there were no codes.

Have you done any mods recently?

How long does your car run before it quits?

Do you still have the original alternator?
