Car came with Accel 300+(Just broke) Am I losing a lot of peformance
My car came with an Accel 300+ Racing Igniton. This morning my car wouldn't start and it turned out that the ground wire for the racing igniton broke. I'm curious, if I just go and removing the thing completely if I would lose much performance. I disconnected it when I first got the car and didn't notice much difference.

I figured that, it's just nice to hear it from other people though. Thanks for the reply!

Yea, the ground wire broke in half.
No clue how it happened, but it is easier to just yank it out than to splice and run new wire.

2-4mpg? Thats about a 10% increase. I find that pretty hard to believe.
Did you get this by doing the upgrade yourself? If so you must have had igniton problems prior to installing the ignition box.

No ignition probs.... I was on the adv. of 22 mpg/hwy at 70 mph, before install and after it went to 24 mpg/hwy.... As far as HP gain, nothing could be felt... Never dynoed.... Just read an article in Hot Rod Mag. on a comparison test.
