Canton pan resting on K-member causing false knock?
Canton pan resting on K-member causing false knock?
I have an aftermarket K-member and the Canton pan rests on the power steering and K-member. My headers also touch the K-member.
Could this cause false knock? Any idea on how to get rid of it?

Re: Canton pan resting on K-member causing false knock?
to my knowledge any strong vibration, espeically header vibrations can cause false knock. I think some have reported that they have had the same issues with exhausts causing false knock, some even said solid motor mounts sometimes do also, but not many have chimed in with that. But that could def be an issue....

ANY noise will pull timing.
Get 6 thick torque flat washers(3 to the side under each bolt) and put them between the block and motor mount. It will bring the engine up about 1/8".
