Canton oil pan users inside please...

Have any of you with Canton pans out there removed them with the engine still in the car? Wondering if its possible because i need to remove mine. I have a BMR K-member also fyi. Thanks.

i dont have a bmr k-member, but i dropped my stock one down as far as i could and the canton pan went in fine. Youll have to disconnect the steering shaft, the kmember mounting bolts, motor mounts, and your shock bolts from the control arms. Couple other things too probably but this will let it come down far enough to remove the pan. Youll need to support the engine from above obviously.

I have dropped my Canton pan with my BMR k-member..it was cake, but I had a unique option (well, it is probably common now) and had the pipe lowered 1/2" to clear my oil pan.

Not the same as yours, but I dropped my canton pan on a stock crossmember while changing cams and I really doubt it would come out without unbolting the motor mounts and shifting stuff a little. It didn't drop very far down.
