Question Canton oil pan... which pickup / pump?

I saw xxsaint69xx's thread about choosing an oil pump for his 355. I understand that most motors do just fine with the factory pump. I plan on switching to a Canton pan and pickup this summer when I do the K-member, and I think I might just go ahead and do the pump and driveshaft as well.

I have the following parts on my shopping list (all parts except Canton are from Summit):

Canton Pan: 15-242T
Canton pickup: 20-020
Melling pump: MEL-10555
ARP pump stud: ARP-154-7005
ARP HV driveshaft: ARP-134-7901

Any comments / suggestions?

I got mine from Nick at Nu-Tek. It came with the Melling High Volume pump. I heard the stock one will work just fine but for 10 bucks more I just went with the Melling. I took out the high pressure spring and went with the optional one.

That pump PN# and Stud PN# don't look right. Are you using the stock replacement pump?? Or is the one for the canton pan bigger Cause the stock replacement pump is the M-155 or the M55 and the ARP stud you want is the ARP-230-7001

Yea I just looked those parts up dude. THat stud you have is for a FORD But that pump looks like it would be ok. It just the high volume version...

Oops!

I'll make sure I order the right stud then.

SJS, what do you mean by "optional spring"?

THeirs a high pressure WHITE oil spring that you can get that will increase the pressure a little bit.

Actually the optional spring was a lighter spring that brought the pressure down. High volume but lower pressure. My pressure never gets above 50 or so. I don't know why they recommended I do it, but I'm sure they know.
