Canton 242T Oil Pan Questions
Thats good, i am getting real pissed at my 242. I took a turn so hard today that all 4 tires were screeching and sliding, onto an onramp..and the oil pressure went all the way to 0 for a second and came back. Not good!
Considering the amount of baffling and the side sumps in that pan it's hard to believe you could run into oil starvation with it. I've heard all the same complaints about them everybody has (mostly fitment issues and cost) but I've never heard anybody say it wasn't doing the job it was designed for. You must be cornering like a maniac, with some hellacious G's

It's actually a pretty common problem with the pan. I was even losing pressure in a straight line at WOT. I ended up having to pull out the windage tray/screen in the pan and put a moroso windage tray on the main caps. The built in windage tray just didn't cover up the sump area good enough.
