Cannot connect to PCM with lt1edit...Fuel pump not priming.

Ok..got everything back together and now I get no fuel. The changes made were lt4 heads/intake, new timing chain, remove heater core. The car will turn over but my fuel pump will not prime...hence..I'm not getting fuel. When I hooked up my laptop to look at the pcm I cannot communicate with it. Any ideas on what this could be.

I'm having the pcm tested today outside the car at thunder racing and I have another pcm I can try tonight to at least see if it activates the fuel pump. Any help would be grately appreciated. I've got the thunder shootout in 12 day and I need to get on the dyno to tune then to the track to dial the new setup in.

Did you check the fuses for the PCM?

Did you try powering the fuel pump using the prime connector near the PCM?

I'm going to try that tonight. I had thunder racing test the pcm on a desktop system they have. He connected to it and read it fine. Looks like I have another problem. I'm going to recheck all my grounds/reground the pcm. Also, if the vats is having a problem would it stop you from reading your pcm.

Hawk...you never know..lol

You don't have any other type of scanning devices like ScanMaster connected up? This will prevent you from talking to your editor.

Do you have the cable pugged in correctly to your laptop? COM1?

There is a fule pump relay by your left foot. Perhaps you have more than one issue going on?

Found the problem. It was a wireing issue..something I missed. so now everything is working..except when I primed the pump I found that my fuel line is cracked below the schrader valve. Oh well..on to the next problem..lol.

thanks for the help guys.

Are you going to have that thing running for the Thunder Shootout?

Now go get that leak fixed!

Yes, it will be running, tunned and tested. My only thing I'm worrying about is I may have to do a gear change...thats gonna be pushing it and I may be out there with a new setup untested. so I will be having to experiment with launch rpm etc.
