Can you help with my daily driver?

On my 2000 Rodeo LS 4x4 when you crank it it is hard to crank, and once it does it will idle funny.. it will idle high and then low and then cut off, you have to go through this 2 or 3 times to get it cranked and then it runs fine. I've cleaned the fuel injectors and replaced fuel filter. I've noticed that once it cranks, if you rev it up some it seems to help it stay running or if you have your foot on the gas as you crank it does better. Does this sound like a fuel pump? If not any other ideas??
I am about to take it to Isuzu, but im wondering what the chances are of it being anything thats under power train warranty, and even if it is what the chances are of Isuzu admitting that.

Idle Air Control...It monitors how much air is coming through the throttle body and adjusts the blade to maintain a steady RPM. They can get dirty and it will fluctuate the rpms, does it do it at idle all the time, like if you stop at a light, or is it only when you start it?

Only when starting. I'm really scratching me head on this one. Once you get it started it drives great untill you cut it off again, and then you have to start all over with it being hard to crank. I actually took it on a 600 mile road trip last weekeend with no problems at all except with cranking. It also does it whether the engine is hot or cold.

NM on the IAC, sounds like a weird foreign problem here, take it somewhere that will give a free estimate, find out what it needs, then replace it yourself if you can.
