I opened my 3 inch cutout today, sounds great but feels like i lost power. anybody have this problem ?

 

I doubt you lost power, you just can't feel the engine being choked anymore. I've read papers about the whole backpressure vs. power argument, and while people claim you can lose power from too much flow, they tested (on dyno), and found it was all BS. I felt a difference in mine but it wasn't on the take-off, I felt the power more in the upper RPM's.

 

did you see any gains in the 1/4 mile?

 

yea i noticed the same thing right after I got my cutout...I could have sworn that it ran quicker with the exhaust running through the muffler...

you're running faster now...
