after I put my 383 in I would spin first second third and catch in the middle of third and get a short slide into 4th that was with kuhmo 295 40 17s now with the nitto 315 35 17s drs ill get a quick spinin first then thats it

 

My tires DON'T spin, ever. I have DR's....and i think my clutch is going bad, because the tires NEVER break loose. The worst part of this is that my clutch is only about 1 year old

 

my a4 shifts pretty hard and my car is pretty stock , it chirps 2nd pretty hard, , i have yet to put my shift kit in

lmao at this thread! i am pretty sure just about any car can spin or chirp second gear with the right driver. I CAN CHIRP THIRD IN MY 03 CAVALIER!

i own a 96 z and i can get some spin in 2nd gear but when your racing its about getting the power to the pavement and not spinning your tires, cause you could sit there and smoke em all day long and watch that little yugo pass you right on by

 

My stock LT1 A4 will lay a good 40' patch through 1st, and spin in 2nd will she gets traction.

 

Thats wierd, cuz I have a 93 A4 w/ cai K&N, magnflow catback, tb bypass and when I floor it from a stop I can get them to spin for maby like 5-10' then they catch, and on the 1-2 shift I usually dont get a chirp or anything, occasionally I will, but when I first got my car the tire pressure was low and It would chirp 1-2 and 2-3. Take into mind my car does have brand new good year eagles t/a 118mph rating(not saying thatthey are good but thats what I have), my car hads 3.23's too. What the hell is wrong w/ it? Why cant I do big burnouts?

 

by the way, in your modlist what does "1st gear enable" mean? Is that some kind of mod?

 

This depends a lot on your tires, and how hard you are driving your car. My 89 crx will roast 2nd and chirp 3rd no problem. Do that daily with your camaro and you will be buying clutches, tires, possibly trannies way more often than you would like.

I can drive my Camaro hard on the streets (without power shifting) and not break the tires loose. At the track I did spin a bit on my 1-2 shift last time, not too bad though.

Don't abuse the hell out of your cars

Maybe your car needs a tune-up or something cause with my A4 I can just tap the gas from a roll and get the tires to break lose and get a descent sideways chirp from 1-2 depending on the pavement.

Its also possible that you have a good set of tires.

 

I've spun through first and second and i went into third and it was still spinning but I was getting a little sideways so I let off.
I also chrip second and I chirped third once when I first got my car.
Btw my tires suck

 

Thats the thing, I just did a major tune-up, new plugs, wires, o2 sensors, radiator flush...I have brand newgood year eagles P235 55R16 .... are those good for traction or ****? Do you think it could be an opti hampenning my burnouts? Its unknown if its ever been replaced, car has 100k on it.
