Can I run Leaded Fuel?

I have a modified LT1, bored .040" over, forged aluminum pistons, ported heads/intake/throttle body/ long tube headers/ Hotcam kit, emissions deleted and some other things... I have the computer tuned for 94 octane and up and theres an LT4 knock module installed, before I get my engine running I was looking into what kind of fuel I would like to run, and for the majority of driving I will probably be using sunoco 94, but when I decide to go to the track can I only use Unleaded high octane fuel? or can I use Leaded Fuel?? Just wondering because I do not want to be replacing O2 sensors everytime I run it, or if i even can run it.

Thanks for the Help,
-Ben

From what iv heard, the leaded fuel will make the o2's go bad. Also if the car does not need race fuel, then iv heard you will not see any gains.

If its tuned for 94 octane, running fuel higher than that isn't going to add any HP.

Running leaded fuel will contaminate the O2 sensors over a period of time - not immediately, but you never know when they will reach the point where they are no longer accurate.

I assume since you have LTs, you don't have a Cat. which, of couse, could not handle leaded fuel.

They run good for about 4 or 5 passes, after that the O2s are toast and give erradic readings.

You could get your tune dialed in really well, then when it comes to run leaded fuel just pull the 02's and throw a cap in there.

Good open loop tune FTW ?

I ran the 110 unleaded at the track and I lost ALL the knock and the car worked alot better. I had a premium Madz28 tune and full bolt on,and ran 13.6 with a slipping clutch.
