Had my last test done 2 years ago and passed with flying colors
This time after only 4K and this modes: 52mm, stat, MSD the works, LT4 KM and a Hypertech I faild on the "NO PPM" knock problem. their is a whole explanation about the problem cause: EGR, Cat, Plugs Lean A/f mix, Spark Adwance, Cooling and a whole bunch of general BS.
The rest HS PPM and CO% are way below the alowed limit
I'm curious if the Hypertech can be the problem on the car - I was stupid enough not to take off the programing befor going in there because I didn't notice "off road use only" on the box.
Now I have to get the car to the test and try not to fail it bacause they they only give 2 trys in here.

I would highly doubt it is the Hypertech. Sounds like it is out of tune.

 

The Hypertech chip does more or less nothing. You have a problem somewhere else.

Agreed, My car actually ran better with the hypertech engine tunning removed.

 

I had a Hypertech installed on mine when it was near stock and I passed the Ontario e-test with near zero's across the board. Either you have an EGR valve thats not working or plugged with carbon or the NOX bed in the converter is shot

 

94 TA I recently bought has Hypertech programming in it.

Easily passed PA emissions testing.

I agree with above advice.

 

High on NOx and very low on HC's and CO points to the engine running lean.

 

I passed CA smog with HPP and all the bolt-ons with the stock cam. This
was OBDII, of course. I would not pass presently, but that too can be fixed.

 

It's best not to diagnose emission failures by using the post cat readings. To properly diagnose the failure it should have pre cat readings taken to see whether the engine is just plain putting to many emssions out or whether the catalytic converter is not doing its job.

 

that's the case as far as i figured
the problem is i don't really want to fix none of this things coz thy both about to go. and all I needed to do is to get throu the test so I'll have the car
"street legal" for another 2 years.
now - is their any temp. solution to get them fixed and get done with the test
