Cam/ Vaccum question...

I was wondering if anyone has had any noticable vaccum problems when upsizing their cam. I want to make sure I am getting the most out of it without the drawbacks. Of course this is probably an A4 question. Thanks!

Heads + 233/239 112lsa, 950 idle, just shy of 11 inches of vacuum. Sucks. Get a vac canister for brakes, it helps a lot.

See thats the cam I was interested in but the vaccum risks were bugging me. Did the canister fix your probs? How do you like the cam?

Re: Cam/ Vaccum question...

Brakes are very weak compared to stock, more due to hogged heads then the cam alone (stock heads would probably make 1.5-2 inches more vacuum) Canister helps immensely, planning on an ls1 brake upgrade though, to help with the braking. I love the cam

Re: Cam/ Vaccum question...

It seems that once you start to get to ~230 degreesntake duration at 0.050" that the vacuum starts become marginal.
