Exclamation Anything I can do programming wise to increase my off-the-throttle vaccum??

Simply put, my brakes suck. I've never thought they were great, but now that the cam has been in the car, they are just terriable.

I don't have a vaccum gauge, but do have an electric fuel pressure gauge, and since fuel pressure is related to vaccum, the lower the pressure, the more the vaccum. Whenever I downshift hard and my fuel pressure drops, my brakes are always more firm.

So, anything I can do to help with this programming wise? Buying an electric vaccum pump is not an option; I have no money to spend. But I can program until my heart's content. Perhaps pull/add timing in certain areas. Increase my rolling idle a bit? Or a million other things I'm not thinking of.

Yes , more idle timing. ( closed throttle timing table ) I've run 44 degrees with a cam cl of 104 with 4 degrees ground into it. This got it to pull 12 inches at idle.
For better braking use the "Throttle follower vr's mph table.
Raise the value a couple of points higher in the 10mph to 25mph range, this will force the iac to stay open a few more counts than that of the actual value seen on a scanner priour to adjusting. Watch the iac on coast down and you'll see how that table works....... IT WORKS GREAT.
If you raise the 0-10mph area to much it will be like driving with your foot on the gas!
Hope this helps

Timing is probably off, the Camaro brakes suck but mine was hardly different from before heads/cam swap, and I ran a similar setup. Just keep working the timing (slowly, in SMALL clusters) and watch the MAP.
