So I need new springs? And is there any other springs I can just swap out besides those very expensive beehives?

Hey if you just want to run as fast as a bolt-on LT1 don't change out your springs.

I'll second that. You probably need a better set of springs.

When the hell did beehives become expensive? Maybe it's just me living in my world where I pay $400 a set for springs all day long, but beehives ARE NOT expensive. Considering they last longer and work better than other stuff out there.

Just get the beehives, even if they are a little pricey. They are well worth the money. And make sure you check the installed height.
I have to ask, whos converter are you running and why only a 2400 stall? If your trying to be quick in the 1/4 mile I would think you should have at least something in the 3200 to 3600 range. Some guys would even go bigger than that.
