Cam/Stall Question

Part 1:

Is it just me or are there a very limited amount cams that are available for our LT1's? Why is that? I mean, you have the Comp Series cams, the XE cams, and a few GMPP cams...but that seems to be it. It just seems like there are a million cams for regular Chevy small blocks, but for our LT1's, the selection is very narrow.

Part 2:

I know depending on your setup this will be different. But, how do you know which stall speed to buy in a torque converter? I mean I have 3:73 gears, and a few other mods, with a cam purchase pending, and I just can't see how to decide on which stall speed. I don't even know what to base it off of. I see a lot of people having 2800's. But a lot of people have 3000 and higher.
How big is too big?? What's too little??

Thanks in advance...
