That cam does seem a bit small, what ratio rocker arms are those lift numbers calculated with (if any). What kind of heads are you using, and who suggested the cam?

Edit: Probably should ask some other questions.

Are you going N/A of FI? What are your power goals? Track or street car? What don't you like about the cam?

It is definitely not too big! I'll tell you this though, it will be a tire shredder! Are you looking for a really torquey setup that peaks at about 5300 in a 383? That's what you've got. I personally know a guy here in Dayton that built a home ported iron headed LT1 383 11 to 1 in an ImpalaSS that ran 11.81 at Cecil with the Comp 501 cam and 1.5 rockers. That's a 212/218 cam. What you will have is a great all around motor that would be happy with 3.42's and a 2800 stall.

What are you looking for performance wise? What made you decide on that cam?

That's close to what I am running in my mostly stock engine (if those are not .050 duration numbers).

Here's the specs

Unless you are worried about emissions that is a pretty dinky cam.
