i need help with cam selections/recommendations. i currently have ported (gasket matched) heads and intake, CAI, shorty headers, and a 2800 stall TC. i want to keep my car streetable and it's a daily driver. i don't mind a lopey sound but it's not a requirement, or really even much of a concern to me. anyone have suggestions on what would brand and type would be a good fit to what i currently have? thanks for the help

I currently have the HOT CAM in mine, it is a pretty good cam with some lope to it and very good driveability. I have heard good things about the xe grinds, either the 224/230 or the 230/236.

I am about to start over and buy another cam right now, but it is going to be a custom grind.

I've heard some good things about those type cams, but then someone also told me I might not be smog legal if I use them... I'm stuck with the emissions ****'s and they stick a sniffer up the exhaust pipe... kind of rude if you ask me Does anyone know what effects a cam would have on smog readings?

I don't have smog to worry about.

But with a good tune the hot cam, cc305 or the 224/230 should pass pretty easily. Not sure the 230/236 would pass though.
