On our cars its pointless to degree the cam because of the optical distributor.. these cams usually have some timing ground into them, providing you put it in straight up.. you can even ask comp about that, guy gave me a 20 minute lecture on why these cars dont get degreed.. lol
Tell that to the guy who installed a GM847 without degreeing it and found it was 7* off and that's why his car was running like trash.

If I remember right, the cam was actually ground off, or something like that.

im a bit confused about degreeing the lt1 cam , if the dowel pin is at 3 o clock, and the timing notches are lined up at the crank sprocket and cam sprocket, how do u degree the cam differenty ?

I just did some quick searching and couldn't find it. I can't even remember who it was. I want to say it was sometime last summer that I remember seeing it.
