Cam Install

Anyone know about what a cam install on my 97Z would cost??

As mentioned above, the price will most likely vary between shops. When calling around shops, it wouldn't hurt to find out what their experience levels are with installing cams in the LT1 motors. I'm sure you will spend in the 700-800 ballpark though.

A lot also depends on what you mean by a "cam install". If your car is currently stock, it's also going to need valve springs and would benefit from roller rockers if you are doing a cam. This obviously adds to the cost. Just a cam swap is a fairly big job.

When I've done cam swaps on the side (includes: cam, springs, rockers) I've charged about $700. This includes nothing as far as materials go, just labor.
