Cam install

I have finally got a general idea of what kind of cam I want for my Z28 but now I'm looking into prices and having trouble finding a shop that will do "custom work". Nobody has the ***** to open my engine and install it. Beyond that, how much should i anticipate for a cam install including rr's?

Where are you located? There is probably someone in the area that would lend a hand.

Have you looked up racing or any shops like that in the yellow pages? Go to your local drag strip and ask around, there has to be someone in your area.

north texas, specifically in Arlington. im going to ask at a GM Performance Parts dealer and see if they'll quote me, along with taking it to ennis (long drive) to the closest strip around and ask about it along with possibly getting an ET or two

sure id tackle that if i knew how to change my own brake pads. from my understanding it takes an engine crane, knowledge, tuning, getting the springs under the rr's just the right tension and so forth. if i had a pro helping me id love to learn but i dont know anyone to has the right tools or the knowledge for that matter. id rather shell the dough than break something. (like my back)

it's really not that hard, alittle time consuming but not hard.
