dynojets will get higher numbers than other style dynos.

it is well known that a mustang style dyno will always be lower, because it applies a real world load to the wheels, whereas a dyno jet is just spinning a drum.

get over it already is right, and a dyno IS merely a tuning tool!
the track is the real dyno! et's are what talk. i trap 5950 on motor and 6650 on spray, so how much am i giving up???? who knows, and who cares!

and don't worry in about a month or so you'll see one of joe's cams doing a number on the n/a 6 speed record... nuff said!

Wait a minute. What the hell is going on in this post. My god some of you people need to chill out already. Ignorant? Retarded? bench Racer? LOL Give me a break.

Now for those of us who see a lightened Camaro with 420 RWHP hitting only 117 mph..it seems kind of low. Not extremely low, but still a few mph off from what I have seen for that power. God forbid someonee brings this up.. Good times for sure.. Mph seems off. So what is the F-ing hostility from this.. Some of you guys Act like a bunch of damn kids in here.

Can anyone explain why my crappy HOT cam only pulling 340sih is going 11.9s@111+? The HOT cam should not be able to do that....according to several people on here.

I think some people on here are just upset...I for one am but not at anyone else, but at myself, I got alot more money in my set up going alot slower than others, but that is my misfortune...

Go JOE!! and anyone else that can design something that will make these cars go faster!!

I love how you always post how fast you think your NA times are when they really aren't that great. You have HEADS, not just a hotcam. Running 111 with heads and cam is really not that impressive.

EXACTLY!!! I have LT4 Heads with some Bowl work and larger valves. Meaning an ASSLOAD of Cash in this bastard and it only runs 111, take the car in question with much less in mods kicking my ***.

Dollar for FUN and I am way behind!!!

Now I have to take my heads off and take out this cam and get a real set up and will be out even more cash. Sure wish there would have been this R&D back when i built my motor....

11.6......wheres another heads/cam lt1 hitting lower than that time?

in case you guys keep overlooking this......the trap speed is a lowered by gearing and auto short shifting.

if you were racing for titles.......would you care who had the higher trap speed, or who hit the finish line first?

Heads only flow: 244.5 I and 186 E, not the best around with the money that is in them...

Suspension is only Spohn Adj TA and LCAs with BMR SFC and Adj PHR. I run ET Streets. Nothing fancy.....

I am not overlooking anything. I am well aware of differences like mentioned, and still think the mph is off. Actually the mph is not off, but the dyno most likely was.

Racing for titles?? Where did that come from. Why do you insist on trying to argue the E.T.? The E.T's are good. Maybe you missed that in my last TWO posts here.

Great times!!! Seems like there is a bad case of sour grapes going around here. There are at least a couple of folks here with mid 11's cars running on stock heads and with a good cam (and other goodies), N/A. I think perhaps HP #'s are more important to some and they are just having trouble with the apparent fact that they make way less HP with thier setup. Makes them nuts it looks like.

Good, keep it up

Lord knows I'm jealous!

Amazing thread. Dyno this = this track time. There is already enought Dyno Queens on this board. Dyno numbers are interesting and they can help you see where you're at with your engine tune, but would I be upset if my 420HP car ran an 11.6? I don't think so. Would I be upset because I only trapped 117, again I could care, I probably got to the finish line first. IMO opinion track results are just much more meaningful than someone strapping their car to a dyno and pulling 500 HP. In my club there is a 570RWHP Stang, running 12.6 with ET Slicks. Thats right he can't drive, so what does his HP do for him, I wip his *** all day long running my measly 12.4's.
