I completely understand what you're saying. I guess I'm guilty of the picking apart of it too. I do realize that there's a total package involved, not just a lot of power. I just wasn't thinking.

or maybe because all the numbers u post are not from a dynojet So 420+ on that dyno might be 380 on a dynojet

Maybe thats a good reason why the numbers dont add up

how is 11.6 @ 117 on a 1.6 60' backing up a 420rwhp dyno??

AtlJar ran a 11.9 @ 116 with a 1.6 60' with 357 rwhp.

so i guess 60+ rwhp is only good for .3 et reduction and 1 mph

explain stock eliminator while your at it.....running 122mph with less than that....so please go study some more.... to the unknowing you may be impressing someone..But however to the experienced racers here they know the deal .....

Gearing
weight
tire
converter slippage etc etc.

If you have scale tickets to back up weights on these cars by all means post them up along with gearing, suspension etc.

lmao!!! you guys slay me! nice times on a drag radial! i have never run the car on dr's at the track with the big motor, so i have no idea what would happen. actually 117 mph isn't all that low, maybe it is just me though. that is just my .02 based on my experience.

Joe,

car goes for tune by Dave Henninger, i believe this saturday, then three more weeks and it is track time!!!

cool taner ..just dont go throw the wrong gear set in or run the wrong tire lord forbid you spin any..your mph might not match your rwhp then you'll be playing ring around the rosey as I've been doing with some of these kids LOL

whats the car weight? i mean is it a convertable or hardtop? has it been tuned? im not trying to pick it apart, it just sounds to me like the combination isnt all there yet, and that being the case is very impressive, esp for a DR car. once its all sorted out it should pick up a few more mph and drop some more et

Not to be an ***, but how is it that 9 rwhp is good for 8 tenths and only 1 mph? Why the hate? Do you know how much the car weighs? My car has 300 rwhp, but I only ran 104 traps. Low? Yeah, but I weigh in at 385, so the car is heavy. Also, that was on 26x10s with 3.42s, and a bog out of the hole. 2.1 60s. With 4.10s, side step the clutch at 5000, mph would be around 107, and a better e.t. We took my friends 575 rwhp stang to the track and it could only go 12.4 @ 125. Slow for almost 600 rwhp? Yeah, until you realize he can't drive, it was on big 18s, and 2.8 60 ft. in a 4100+ vert. Did it really dyno 575? Yeah, it did.

117 mph? It is pretty good. Like everyone else mentioned, the traps are good, but the mph is lacking for the said h.p.

well the car is setup for spray, whatever it runs on motor it runs, so be it, i won't lose any sleep. if i tossed a 4.56 gear in for n/a it would be fun as well!

I'm just curious do you guys think who has the most mph gets the win slip ... and also if a car isnt geared or has good tires to stick the power to accomodate its combination can you tell me How mph wouldnt be affected ..I'm very open minded please enlighten me.. I guess from what I'm agthering here ,hell we can just throw in the stock 3.23's and still run that mph
