A cam...
Re: A cam...
Hey Chris. To answer your question. With a 4.10, didnt lose any real low end grunt with the 227/233, but with the stock cam, I just spun the tires down low, and with this cam, I spin the tires down low, but I cant tell that I lost anything as I can still spin the tires. I havent had the car on my sticky tires with my new setup, so I may have lost a little and be able to tell when I get traction. As far a mid 12's go, that should be no problem. Back around 2000 at rockingham, I clocked 12.60's with a bolt on car. ie. 4.10's, weld's and skinnies, cold air intake, msd, adjust fuel pressure regulator, pullies, catback, airfoil, and no emmisions, with some minor weight reduction. This was done on stock suspension with only a energy suspension torque arm and tranny mount. The key issue is traction, and driving the car like you hate it. If you dont have sticky tires, this is the first thing you need, trust me.
