A/C Delete Bypass Pulley
I'm considering eliminating my A/C compressor to "clean up" my engine bay. I'm finding two(2) different Dorman part numbers for their A/C delete bypass pulley. Both "say" they fit V-8 LT1 engines, but they look VERY different in photo's???
I'm finding Dorman 34209 and Dorman 2100052 bypass pulley part numbers, both showing that they fit '97 LT1 engines?
Has anyone already done this, and, if so ........... what bypass pulley part number did you use?
TIA for all reply's.

Re: A/C Delete Bypass Pulley
I just took delivery of the GM part last week from Jason Cromer of Sam Taylor Buick/Cadillac of FL. Part was on back order and took about 3 weeks to obtain. $70 shipped. The Dorman part needs to be modified (drill out the threaded mounting holes) and shimmed to properly locate it. I have one that's already been drilled out (brand new) if you're interested (PM me). It takes the standard belt size.

Re: A/C Delete Bypass Pulley
First of all ....... Thanks!
to all who replied.
That's what makes this board GREAT ...... people willing to help other people out.
Secondly, for all those people who may find this thread sometime in the future by using the search feature ........ what a difference in price this item currently has.
Because of the information you have all supplied me from the above posts, yes, you can still get the original GM bypass pulley P/N 10115875 from Summit for $92.99 plus S/H. Or, you can get the Dorman P/N 34209 aftermarket pulley from RockAuto for $20.79 plus S/H, and the Dorman piece ........ comes with a "Lifetime" warranty!
Now the question bears asking ...... can there really be a four fold improvement in quality, (to justify the difference in price), for an item as simple as a pulley and bearing assembly???
Thanks, once again, to all who replied, I think I know which way I'm going to go with this.

Re: A/C Delete Bypass Pulley
I do know that the Chinese knock-offs of the GM part have a poor track record as far as the pulley freezing up and some require shimming to even fit correctly (been mentioned above).
