When i cruise around in my car everything is fine. When i stomp on it i can smell oil burning. I thought at first it was the common intake leak but apon inspection its bone dry. no wheres on this engine looks to have a leak. The only time you smell it is at wot. Any ideas are welcome

 

Probably because your burning oil.

The best way to find an undetectable oil is to put the ultra violet dye is your oil, drive it around for a few days, then put a black light on it and that'll show you where your problem is originating.

 

Any chance you are running a breather, in place of the vent line from the passenger valve cover to the throttle body? Might be venting a bit of excessive blowby at WOT.

 

no there is no aftermarket breather thou i tried it to see if it fixed it. The motor is a cream puff it does not smoke nor drip any oil. I pulled this motor last year from a 96 z28 with 20,589 miles. When i pulled the intake this thing looked like it was never ran the valley was just a perfect gray not the burnt brown color. Maybe i just don't want to beleive it.
