Okay I ahve had my 383 lt1 for over a year now, last year NA i had my 4l shift at 6100, by the time it shifted it seen sometimes 6500ish
Now that I have a turbo and it likes RPMS (my car picked up 44whp from 6170-6250rpm So i was thinking maybe 6500-6600 shifts?(car now has a th400 Reverse manual valvebody.
What do some of u guys shift at
383 lt1
LE2 heads
comp 230/236 114lsa
splayed 4bolt mains
eagle crank
eagle H-beams
etc

Not sure what others with more experience think but from my experience of revving engines and damaging them, it is the valvetrain that is the limiting factor. Of course it is the whole system that we must look at but I mention this because you say nothing about your valvetrain.

It all depends on your complete set-up, valvetrain, compression, head flow etc, all play into how the motor should behave.
My old set-up with 190 AFR heads and the GM 847 with good springs would make useable power all the way past 6500 rpm.

Yea forgot to add that...
I am running Comp 1.6RRs, Manly stainless Valves, Hardened pushrods, PAC 1518 Springs,Isky guide plates.
No money was spared while doing the valvetrain!
