Broken EVAP line...

Line #1 from the link below... It's in two pieces right now, and my car runs like ****! Could an EVAP line cause this? It's the first visible problem I found today while looking the car over. Car starts and runs fine in lower rpm's, but struggles badly to get above 3500 rpm. SES light is on, but I've had no luck getting the codes read yet. I've tried a couple different AutoZone’s and their scanners never link.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

If the line is broken, it is leaking vacuum every time the EVAP solenoid is energized (which is a lot during part throttle).

Wished I had some so I could try that. I did try connecting a piece of vac line tween the two breaks but the hose was a lil big and would not work

I can't win for ****! Tomorrow I'm gonna get some duct tape and try that. Hopefully that's all it is...just got the car running with the new motor and it has ran fine up till now.

That would be a decent fix with the right size rubber hose. Get some-it's cheap. You could also just temporarily cap the vacuum line off at the EVAP solenoid. The other end from the tank may cause some gas fumes.
