Brakes, Compression, and some other stuff
A. My brakes always lock up at the end when i brake hard, but the problem is i think they are locking up too much... The ABS kicks in and unlocks them in sequence but just for a micro second on and off... i think i could be getting better braking... so for better brakes i thought german... audis and bmw's brake awsome and have HUGE brakes... but... if mine already are locking up (and i don't think there is anything wrong with the abs system) then my currant brakes already have enough stopping power (more than enough)... so this is confusing me... shed some light?
also... what is my stock compression on my 95 formula lt1... i think its 10.5:1 but that just sounds high to me for stock... can you confirm or deny that?
and uhh.... oh yeah do i have a timing belt or chain? is there any maintence to do on that by 55k miles? should i replace belt/chain? or do anything to the chain?
and finally i have the 700r4... is there anything to adjust in that transmission? like bands or anything?
thanks a whole hell of alot for your answers! you guys

Perhaps it is your tires that are the weak link.
10.5:1 is the correct compression ratio.
You have a timing chain. There are no scheduled service intervals for it (this ain't a Honduh
). If you ever go into the engine to swap cams or such, then change the timing set.
Tranny service should be regular changes of the filter and fluid. A schedule of intervals can be found in the owner's manual.
A cut out is short y-pipe with a removeable cap, welded into the exhaust system to make it possible to bypass the muffler or other parts of the system.
Don't abuse the "TTT". Once after 24hrs is the rule.
