booster pump ???
booster pump ???
Im about to put a booster pump on my 95z. The harness that plugs in right above the front of the rear end, Does it control the stock pump? If so do you think it would be safe to splice into the wires and run the booster pump on them also.
Re: booster pump ???
Are you talking about the Boost-a-pump

Re: booster pump ???
If you're talking about adding an in-line pump, it needs it's own power from the battery. Run a line from the battery to a relay, use the signal line (switched power) from the connector by the rear end to energize the relay to provide power to the additional pump. Don't forget to install a fuse on the new power line (near the battery connection) and the appropriate grounds.
Re: booster pump ???
If you want, I have the NOS instructions for installing an inline booster pump. Great set of F-Body/LT1 specific instructions, including the electrical diagram for the above hookup, and a way to install it with no cutting of the lines. I can fax it to you, if you want.
