Are you and other people able to cut those 60' times on street tires? I've gone to the strip twice. The second time the track was prepped great and my best 60' I cut was 2.2 or 2.1. I know I am inexperienced and still need quite a bit of practice but damn thats some good 60' times if they are on street tires.

Oops! The way I typed that it looks like I've got an aftermarket cam in my car. I meant that I've got the stock 191/196@.050 .418/.430" lift baby sized cam in the motor still.

I've put thousands of street miles on drag radials, so I call them street tires. I have gotten my car into the 1.6s with DRs that I drove to the track on.

Ok cool, I say street tires as in treaded tires. I think next year I am going to get drag radials instead of an actual street tire.

my drag radials had tread when I bought them. They were used and wouldn't pass any kind of inspection, but they weren't that bad in rain. I suspect a brand new set would be fine if driven smartly.

I just can't wait till I can get my slicks to hook up right. I know lots of people cutting 1.8 and 1.9 60's on street tires. (more LS1s than LT1s though) I have been told with my current setup and no mods that I should be able to see high 1.6's to low 1.7's. If I can get that, well we shall see.

lol, i ran that 1.95 on bfg dr's which really isn't that good, i don't have any suspension work done and i was launching way too high. Although i have seen a high 1.9 with some goodyears on a 96 ss.
