bogging problem

ok my car has a bogging problem as the title says. usually (99% of the time) it happens when i powershift 3rd, directly after shifting it will bog. if i stay in it it will stay bogging, if i get out of it and back into it it goes back to normal. it has happened in 2nd gear twice and 3rd gear too many times to count. datamaster shows that it IS NOT seeing any knock so that isnt it (though i did de sensitize the knock sensor as a precaution). i was also talking to a friend and he suggested playing with the timing up top, so i changed the timing around a little and that didnt effect it at all. does anyone have any ideas what it could be, im totally lost to what it may be

Re: bogging problem

Need more detail. What's been done to the car? Is the car tuned? Where's the tune from? How's the ignition system?

Almost sounds like too much fuel?

Re: bogging problem

ok, mods include most all of the bolt ons minus a throttle body and a fms 234/241 cam, svo 30# injectors csr ewp, 4.10's slp clutch and pp and that sums it up. tuning was done by madz28 then fine tuned by 95 bird on a dyno. the car did like alot of fuel, i think peak power was made with around 12.8:1 a/f

Re: bogging problem

My car was doing something very similar, except mine was more of a hesitation in lower rpm situations. Like yourself, I made many logs and even got a new tune--nothing would help. Finally got so bad that the car wouldn't clear up--bogged so bad that I couldn't go over 20mph . So I decided to replace my O2's and the change in my car was amazing--been rock solid for two weeks now, not one stumble. Lesson learned--don't clean your O2's with a torch, it will fry the sensor. HERE is where I got mine, it's the best price around for factory delco O2's......
