Bizarre Electrical Problem with Video
Bizarre Electrical Problem with Video
This happened all of a sudden one day. Hadn't ran the Camaro in a few weeks, charged the battery and took it for an hour drive. Brought it home and the next day I get nothing out of it wont crank or anything. Battery was weak to begin with and put in a new battery. All it would do at first was tap the starter, just turn the engine over with quick taps. For the hell of it I tossed a new starter/vat(? can't remember the proper name) relay at it which seemed to hasten the tapping of the starter.
I then noticed when the low coolant light gets brighter (new low coolant sensor with full coolant) and security light goes off it will crank over like normal. It will fire then immediately die. Security light does not come back on like it would if it thought it was the wrong key. Also doesn't seem like the factory tach works however my aftermarket one does. When the car fires over I also notice the factory volt meter goes below 8 volts when running however no lights are dim if I keep the headlights on.
Battery connections are good and tight, all grounds appear to be intact. Checked the grounds under the dashboard, to the engine, to the front near the headlights. All fusible links appear to be intact, all power connections appear to be good and tight. No blown fuses and and few month old ignition switch.
Edit: No codes either.
Hope someone can help thanks.
